ROZVI AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS:

Rozvi awards are presented at the May banquet. The awards are earned by the member’s attendance record, events and hours worked, events chaired, Board participation, and attitude for that year (a year begins in August and ends in May). Rozvi scholarships are given to seniors only who have been members of the club for a minimum of two years and is based on the same criteria. The club determines the amount of scholarship money to be spent, and Rozvi Parents of underclassmen determine the recipients. Board members may review member’s service to the club if the member is not an active participant. Eligibility for club awards offered by Sertoma International is dependent on active members. Club awards help seniors obtain Sertoma scholarships.

Members of Rozvi can become eligible for Maroon award and Gold award from Sertoma International. Requirements are: ten service hours for the Maroon award and twenty-five for the Gold award.

The Sertoma International Scholarship is given to four Serteens per year. This is a national scholarship and the decision is based on years of membership, participation, an essay, and a high school transcript. A Serteen of the Year award is also available. Check with a sponsor for details.

The Humanitarian award is the highest award given to a member from each class. The members are judged on attendance, events and hours worked, years in Rozvi, events chaired, board member participation, and attitude. Overall, the humanitarian award is given to the guy or girl in each grade level with the highest number of service hours.
